Cheap Domain Name Registration Is Not Always The Best Domain Name Registration.
So yesterday, without warning, tumbleweedlabs.com went down. No website, no email, nothing. I immediately logged in and checked the status page of my web host thinking, perhaps they were doing maintenance. Nope, that wasn't the case. So after a brief chat with tech support at Dreamhost I was informed "uhh, your domain name expired." What!? I didn't get a notification by email or anything.
The domain was registered through active-domain.com. As a result, I don't recommend them. I'm going to move all of my domain registrations over to Dreamhost who has been providing affordable webhosting with 24/7 tech support for me.
